What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on your device. Other technologies, including browser local storage, can also remember information between visits.
What this website uses
The website itself sets no cookies and does not use local storage, session storage, advertising pixels or analytics. Fonts and photographs are served with the website. There are no embedded maps, videos or social-media feeds.
The navigation, photo slideshow and volunteering choices work without saving your choices between visits. Email links open your own email service. Facebook links open Meta’s service, where its own cookie and privacy policies apply.
Why there is no cookie banner
There are no optional cookies or tracking tools for you to accept or reject. A consent banner would not provide a useful choice on this website.
Hosting and external links
The hosting service delivers the website and may process technical request logs. These are different from cookies. See our privacy information.
Following an external link takes you to another organisation’s website. Its own cookie and privacy policies apply there.
Managing cookies in your browser
Your browser’s privacy settings let you inspect, block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies does not prevent you reading this website or finding our email address.
Changes and questions
If we introduce tools that use cookies or similar storage, we will update this information and provide any required consent controls before those tools run.
